HOME IMPROVEMENT SERVICE

Care & Repair can:

• Provide advice about the type of repair, improvement or adaptation your home needs
• Advise whether you may be able to receive a grant for the work, and help you to apply
• Help you to explore other ways of funding the work, including the Council's Scheme of Assistance
• Assist you to organise building work
• Help you to find temporary accommodation while major works are in progress

Homeworks offers a range of advice and information to homeowners on how to repair, improve and maintain communal areas (tenement roofs, stairs, other shared areas). They can also offer advice on ways to pay for your share of repair works. In certain circumstances they are also able to offer you the opportunity to access specialist loans to pay for repairs to your home.
