Vacancy for Board Member
Care and Repair in Scotland has recently undergone a national review by the Scottish Government. As a result, Care and Repair Edinburgh will be undergoing organisational change and development and, due to retiral of one of our long-standing Board members, a vacancy has arisen for a new Board member.
The Board meets quarterly during the day for around two hours, and has an annual planning/away day.
As a Board member you will need to be enthusiastic and committed, but also creative and forward looking. At the moment we are looking for someone with a particular strong skill set, please see below!
Required Skills:
Fundraising/Entrepreneurial/Business Management skills are being sought. Experience of fund raising and organisational development is essential. It would be an advantage to have experience of working/volunteering or an interest in our client groups.
We are looking for a dynamic person with a positive attitude and energy to help drive the organisation forward, as well as commitment to the aims and objectives of Care and Repair and its values.
Further Details:
Where: Central Edinburgh (usually at 4 Queen Street).
Training & Support: Induction, training and support will be provided by the Manager and Board Members.
Expenses: Volunteers can claim public transport rates for travel, monthly if necessary, and childcare costs if applicable. Expenses are paid by cheque.
